Overview

The Outlook Calendar integration lets your voice agents check the free slots of your Outlook calendar and create the appointment in it during the call.
Outlook Calendar is in Beta.

What You Can Do

Setup

1

Connect Outlook Calendar

Go to Integrations → Click Create Integration → Select Outlook Calendar
2

Authorize Access

Sign in with your Microsoft account and grant calendar permissions. Tala uses the main calendar of this account.
3

Optional: Restrict Booking Hours

On the Integrations page, click Configure next to Outlook Calendar and define the hours Tala is allowed to book for each day of the week. Outside those hours, Tala rejects the slot even if your calendar is empty.
Once Outlook Calendar is connected, your agent uses it automatically during calls.

Example Conversation

Caller: I’d like to book an appointment next week.Agent: Of course! Which day suits you?Caller: Tuesday morning.Agent: Let me check… I have 9:30 AM or 11 AM on Tuesday. Which works better?Caller: 11 AM, please.Agent: Done, your appointment is booked for Tuesday at 11 AM.

Troubleshooting

  • Verify the integration shows as Connected on the Integrations page
  • Reconnect it if you recently changed your Microsoft account password or permissions
  • Empty slots are treated as bookable by default
  • Restrict them with the booking hours of the Outlook Calendar configuration
